The 7-day Yoga and Meditation Retreat at Yoga Vidya Mandiram in Rishikesh, India, spans 7 days and 6 nights. This retreat emphasizes meditation, incorporating essential relaxation techniques to prepare and deepen your meditation practice. Alongside meditation, the curriculum includes daily sessions of yoga asana (poses), pranayama (breathing exercises), and relaxation practices to ensure a balanced and holistic experience.
For the yoga asana practices, the retreat focuses on Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga styles.
Participants will engage in 6 days of training with 1 designated rest day. On this rest day, the school organizes a half-day excursion to one of Rishikesh's sacred sites, such as Vashishtha Cave or Kunjapuri Temple. The rest day typically falls on a Sunday but may be adjusted to a weekday during peak seasons to avoid tourist crowds. The specific excursion destination, selected by the school, may vary.
